Geometric and material harmonies
Total Custom Furnishing in Brushed Lacquered Ash with Street Collection Details
Functional Double-Sided Column
The pivotal dividing element of the open space is a freestanding double-sided column, entirely clad in precious ash wood. The brushed finish highlights the deep, natural grain of the wood, while the dark lacquer lends a contemporary and sophisticated look.
The Niche Unit — Material Contrasts and Exposed Veins
Perfectly integrated into the architecture, this unit plays on chromatic and tactile contrast. The perimeter structure and details are crafted in dark-lacquered brushed ash, whose textured surface enhances the gloss of the upper glass and gloss white-lacquered doors.
TV Wall Unit — Stylistic Continuity in the Living Area
The living room composition faithfully echoes the same brushed dark-lacquered ash essence. The long suspended platform and supporting side panels showcase the precious texture of the wood, which acts as a counterpoint to the cream-lacquered wall units and the illuminated open compartments.
The Value of a Coordinated and Tailored Design
Moletta Mobili interpreted the client’s requests by designing an integrated furniture solution that transforms this open space near Naples into a welcoming and sophisticated environment. Avoiding the fragmentation of standalone furniture, every element was engineered to the millimeter to harmonize with the home's floors and architecture. The coordinated use of the dark lacquered brushed ash finish and the recurring decorative pattern of the Street Collection ensured perfect visual harmony, combining daily functionality, technology, and the mastery of Italian cabinetmaking.
From Street Collection Inspiration to Exclusive Custom Craftsmanship
For this project, the Moletta Mobili design team drew inspiration from the lines and decorations of the Street Collection, reinterpreting them to suit the specific volumes of the residence. The geometric motifs and refined floral pattern of the collection were revised and integrated through precision pantograph machining. The result is total customization that transcends the standard catalog, transforming classical inspiration into a modern and distinctive furnishing language. Technical customization involved every single component:
- Wood and Finishes: Solid and honeycomb-core ash structures featuring deep hand-brushing, finished with an open-pore dark lacquer to highlight the natural grain of the wood.
- Decorative Elements: Vertical pantographed mirrored inserts on the double-sided column and carved details featuring the floral Street pattern on the large drawers of the niche unit.
- Fine Materials: Monoblock dark veined marble top with protective glass for the bioethanol fireplace; upper doors of the niche unit in contrasting gloss white lacquered glass.
- Lighting and Details: Integrated LED backlighting systems within the open compartments and beneath the suspended base of the niche unit to emphasize the texture of the brushed finish.
